Warrens Area Business Association

Did you know that there are more than 100 businesses – large and small – in the Warrens area? Until we started making a list of local business owners to invite to our upcoming Warrens Area Business Association meeting, neither did we!

After being inactive for several years, WABA was reorganized in August 2005. A sampling of the projects the group has undertaken so far includes:

  • Published the Warrens Adventure Map & Guide featuring ads of participating businesses and a map pinpointing their locations.
  • Participated in a First Impressions exercise with Stone Lake in which WABA members visited that community, while "secret shoppers" from Stone Lake will visit Warrens to note their impressions of our town.
  • Organized a Cranberry Blossom Day, held annually on the last Saturday of June. The event features tours of Wetherby Cranberry Company and the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center with participating WABA members holding open houses at their businesses.
  • Hosted a customer service-training workshop for business owners and their front-line employees, as well as a leadership-style assessment exercise.
  • WABA also distributes a weekly e-newsletter informing members of happenings in the community.

Becoming a member of WABA affords you the opportunity to meet and network with other area business owners, plan promotion efforts designed to draw more business to Warrens, opportunities to jointly advertise with other WABA members at reduced rates, and much more.

The regular monthly meetings are held the fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Warrens Cranberry Festival office.

The WABA membership fee was kept low to encourage all area business owners – regardless of the size of their business – to join. The fee is just $12/year for businesses and $6/year for individuals interested in supporting the organization.
